House Music Production Software
For those of you who are seeking information on the best method to produce house tracks, then the first move is to download the best production software.
Those high-ranking DJs such as Roger Sanchez and Armand Van Helden, all use what really is, some very basic software to create their music.
Digital Audio Workstations:
DAW’s, as they are affectionately referred to in the industry, are any such breed of programs that allow the sequencing of music within software on a computer. These sequencers can range from a few dollars to thousands of dollars, depending on whether you need live instruments or not (guitars and vocals etc) and if you are running hardware such as a drum machine or keyboard.
With this in mind, some of the biggest house hits ever to have been released, were made only with the software and computer, with no expensive hardware components at all.
Unless you already know, you will be blown away by how powerful some of these desktop-based applications can be.
Today, we are going to provide an overview of the top two downloadable programs, that you can start using immediately to make your own house (and similar genres) music.
We tested both these programs and learned the following:
#1 Choice – Dubturbo
This program is extremely popular among urban genre producers, though the awesome range of sounds and instruments makes this software perfect for making house music.
Use your keyboard as a drum machine to play your beats by hand, or edit the sequencer with your mouse.
We found the interface extremely easy to use and with wide range of sounds easily accessible, ready to apply to your session.
When your new, original track is completed, you easily export it to a high quality .wav or .mp3, burn it to disc and start pumping it out in your live DJ sets.
Great Features:
- Download it Immediately
- Very Easy to Use
- Great Training Videos
- Made for PC and Mac
- Amazing Rang of Sounds
- Export High Quality tracks
- No Hardware Needed

#2 Choice – Cyber Sequencer
The “Cy-Seq” was originally designed for house and other dance genres, rendering it another very popular choice.
The only reason why this was placed second in our choices, was that we found the support and training videos for Dubturbo to be a litle easier to digest.
Still it appears very similar to the first program and does have all the same features. It was argued that the range of sounds for Dubturbo were slightly better, though the samples were more Urban based.
However, this is of no consequence because both apps allow you to import your own samples.
Highlights include:
- Instant Download Access
- User-friendly Interface
- No compatibility issues
- Wide Range of Samples
- Easy Export feature

So we hope this sheds some light on the best methods to get started producing your own original music. When you have mastered one of these programs, perhaps you can then spend thousands building a studio to add your own vocals and instruments.
Bear in mind that even if you choose to upgrade to one of the more difficult and high priced systems, you can still import all your tracks made on these programs to advance them further if need be.
